The geography of the village
Most boutiques sit within a ten-minute walk of each other, between the old port, the Place des Lices and the streets that link them. The Place des Lices is also home to the village market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, a good place to start a shopping day before the afternoon heat.

The famous fashion houses all have addresses in Saint-Tropez. What makes the village special, though, are its independent boutiques: places where a buyer chooses each piece by hand, often one per size, so you leave with something nobody else at dinner will be wearing.

When to visit
The boutiques are liveliest from spring to early autumn. In late October the village holds its Grande Braderie, the traditional end-of-season sale, a lovely moment to discover Saint-Tropez without the summer crowds.
