Winter on the Riviera is not winter in Paris, and neither is winter in Courchevel. Days in Saint-Tropez and Monaco stay bright and mild, but evenings turn cool quickly, and the mistral can make a sunny afternoon feel like January in the north. The right coat is the one that works in all three places. Here is how our stylists in Saint-Tropez choose them this season.
1. The long coat: the piece that does everything
If you buy one coat this winter, make it long. A coat that falls below the knee covers an evening dress as easily as jeans and boots, and it keeps its line on a plane, in a taxi or on the port. Cashmere is the most luxurious choice: light, warm and soft enough to wear open. Our Parosh Loud long cashmere coat has an open front that drapes over everything. For a more tailored look, a belted wool trench such as the Elisabetta Franchi pure wool trench coat defines the waist and stays sharp all day.
2. The short coat and the jacket: for the city and the evening
A shorter coat is easier to move in and shows off a midi skirt or tailored trousers. Leather is the most versatile: the Parosh Maciock coat in 100% lambskin goes from Paris streets to cool evenings on the Riviera. For real cold, a belted down jacket keeps you warm without hiding your figure. The Elisabetta Franchi double-breasted wool coat, with its structured shoulders and signature belt, is the polished middle ground.
3. Fur textures: the story of the season
Tactile outerwear is everywhere for autumn-winter 2026-27, from the Milan catwalks to the streets of Paris: fur collars, fur gilets, shaggy jackets and cropped coats with a soft, voluminous texture. A fur jacket is the most glamorous answer to a cold evening, worn over a slip dress or a black cocktail dress, and it is just as natural in the mountains with a turtleneck and boots. Always check the composition on the product page, and ask our stylists on WhatsApp if you want to see the piece in a video before you decide.

4. The gilet: the clever layer
A sleeveless gilet adds warmth without bulk, and it changes a simple outfit completely. A tailored wool gilet such as the Parosh Lille gilet looks sharp over a shirt or a fine knit, with its matching trousers for a modern suit. A fur gilet does the opposite job: it softens a turtleneck and jeans, or turns a little black dress into a winter evening look.
5. Finish the look: knitwear, hats and boots
Under the coat, a fine wool turtleneck like the Parosh Leila sweater keeps the line clean. On top, a wool felt hat made in France, such as our Anna and Basile hats, is the Riviera way to stay warm with style. And with a long coat, knee-high leather boots like Berta are the most elegant choice; ankle boots such as Selma work with jeans and shorter coats.
How to choose your size in a coat
Coats are worn over other clothes, so think about what goes underneath. If you mostly wear a coat over a dress or a fine knit, take your usual size; if you want to layer a thick sweater, consider one size up, or ask us. Our stylists answer on WhatsApp with measurements, photos and videos of every piece, and we deliver worldwide, with complimentary delivery from €500 and hand delivery to your hotel, villa or yacht in Saint-Tropez.
