The summer crowds have gone, the light turns golden and the Riviera's social season moves indoors: film and media summits in Cannes and Monaco, the last regattas of the year, Saint-Tropez's Grande Braderie, then Monaco's National Day and the run-up to New Year's Eve. Here is what's on between October and December 2026, and what to wear to each.
October 2026
MIPCOM, Cannes – 12 to 15 October
The global television market brings the industry to the Croisette. Days are business; evenings are dinners and parties along the bay. A sharp blazer by day and a cocktail dress by night covers almost everything.
Hyères International Fashion Festival – 15 to 18 October
At the modernist Villa Noailles above Hyères, the festival reveals the designers of tomorrow. The dress code is creative: think texture, tailoring and one statement piece, like a Parosh Liliuxy navy wool blazer over silk.
SPORTEL Monaco – 19 to 21 October
The world's sports-media summit takes over the Grimaldi Forum. Monte-Carlo dinners call for polished evening wear: a gala or black-tie dress for the big nights, Italian tailoring such as crêpe palazzo trousers for the rest.
La Grande Braderie de Saint-Tropez – 23 to 25 October
The village boutiques close the season with end-of-season prices in the streets and squares of Saint-Tropez, followed by Shopping Week from 26 October to 1 November. Read our Grande Braderie 2026 guide and shop the Laly sale.
November 2026
Les Voiles d'Automne, Saint-Tropez – 14 and 15 November
An intimate autumn regatta in the late-season light. On the quay, layer up: a pure wool belted trench or a wool-blend utility coat over knitwear.
Monte-Carlo Film Festival Closing Gala – 14 November
Monaco's film festival closes with a Grand Gala at the Grimaldi Forum. This is a full-length moment: see the Retrofête Genovia embroidered halter gown, the Retrofête Mischa embellished maxi or the Bronx and Banco Brielle diamond gown.
Monaco National Day – 18 and 19 November
Fireworks over Port Hercule on the eve, then the Te Deum and the princely family on the palace balcony. For the evening celebrations, Monaco's red and white make a graceful nod: try the Elisabetta Franchi one-shoulder red carpet gown. Our full guide: what to wear in Monaco.
Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival – 18 to 29 November
The 20th edition fills the gilded Opéra Garnier with jazz, soul and gospel. Opera-house chic: a midi such as the Esmée Dalia Delphine silk-linen dress, with heels and fine jewellery.
December 2026
Christmas in Saint-Tropez – early December to early January
Lights on the port and market chalets, and traditionally Father Christmas arriving by boat on 24 December. Dates are confirmed each year by the town.
New Year's Eve on the Riviera – 31 December
Champagne and fireworks over Saint-Tropez and Monaco. This is the night for sparkle, fringe and feathers: shop our New Year's Eve edit and read five ways to shine after midnight.
