The St Barts Guide · Shopping · Winter 2026–27Shopping in St BartsThe best boutiques, designer fashion and where to buy

Where to shop in St Barts, in short: the Quai de la République in Gustavia for the luxury houses (Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Bulgari, Chopard, Dolce & Gabbana, Tod's, Longchamp), the lanes of Gustavia for the island's own designers, the Pelican Shops and La Villa Créole in Saint-Jean for chic boutiques and swimwear, and the hotel boutiques at Eden Rock, Cheval Blanc and Le Guanahani. For designer evening dresses delivered to your villa, hotel or yacht, with try before you buy, there is Laly, the Saint-Tropez boutique that dresses the same crowd every summer.

Good to know: prices are in euros and St Barts has no VAT, which is why the island is often described as duty-free. Many shops close for a long lunch (often two to three hours) and stay open into the evening; many are closed on Sundays and on Wednesday afternoons. The sales ("les soldes") are the moment for bargains.

Gustavia: the luxury houses on the Quai de la République

The harbour street of Gustavia, nicknamed "rue du Couturier", is where the big names are: Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Bulgari, Chopard, Richard Mille, Dolce & Gabbana, Tod's and Longchamp, a few steps from the superyachts. It is also the classic place to look for a watch or a fine piece of jewellery, and French and Italian lines that are hard to find in the United States.

The island's own designers and concept stores

St Barts has a real fashion scene of its own, mostly in Gustavia:

  • Lolita Jaca: resort wear, kimonos and accessories, with two boutiques in Gustavia.
  • Vanita Rosa: linen and silk blouses, dresses and playsuits by Valérie Bourdin.
  • Pop St Barth and Poupette St Barth: bohemian silk, cotton and crochet.
  • Volver: boho-chic clothes, shoes and accessories from several designer labels, in a courtyard in central Gustavia.
  • Le Corner Saint Barth: a streetwear and luxury concept store.
  • Jacques Zolty: linen, knitwear and island prints, a St Barts signature.
  • Sunbarth and Pasha St Barth: international brands and new French designers.
  • St Barth French West Indies: the island's premium casual wear, in Gustavia, Saint-Jean and at the airport.

Swimwear and beachwear

For bikinis and beach dresses, Pain de Sucre, Del Mar and Monbarth (in Gustavia and at Pearl Beach) are the usual addresses, along with Eres for swimwear and lingerie and Orlebar Brown for men. In Saint-Jean, the Pelican Shops and La Villa Créole group several boutiques a few minutes from the beach.

The hotel boutiques

The best hotels have their own edits, perfect between lunch and the beach: the Eden Rock boutique on Saint-Jean bay (beachwear, evening wear, bags and jewellery), La Boutique de la Cabane at Cheval Blanc on Flamands beach (Italian ready-to-wear, swimwear and jewellery) and the boutique at Le Guanahani on the Grand Cul-de-Sac lagoon. What to bring home

Hats, baskets and bags woven from latanier palm by the women of Corossol and Colombier, beauty oils made from island plants, rhum vanille, and art from the galleries of Gustavia and Pointe Milou.

Designer evening dresses, delivered in St Barts: Laly

Gustavia is wonderful for daywear and accessories, but a dress for New Year's Eve, a gala or a yacht party in your size, a few days before the event, is harder to find on an island in high season. That is what Laly in St Barts is for: the evening dresses of our Saint-Tropez boutiques at Hôtel Byblos and Boulevard Louis Blanc, by Retrofête, Andrea Almeida, Bronx and Banco, Elisabetta Franchi, Yvon, LoveShackFancy, Self-Portrait and Esmée Dalia.

  1. You select, online or with a stylist on WhatsApp.
  2. You buy or reserve the piece online.
  3. We ship or hand-deliver to your villa, hotel or yacht on the island.
  4. Try before you buy: on request, we bring a selection of dresses and sizes for a private fitting.

Shop the St Barts edit: evening dresses, resort maxis, jewelled sandals and fine jewellery, or go straight to gala gowns and New Year's Eve dresses. Not sure what to pack? Read what to wear in St Barts.
