For one week a year, St Barts becomes the centre of the world: the superyachts line up stern-to along the quays of Gustavia, every villa is full, and at midnight on 31 December fireworks light up the harbour. Here is how to plan New Year's Eve 2026 in St Barts: the parties, the dinners, the practicalities, and what to wear.
The festive week
The season peaks from about 26 December to 2 January. The yachts arrive after Christmas; lunches on the beaches get longer, dinners later, and the island's population more than doubles. On 30 or 31 December, the Saint Barth Yacht Club's traditional New Year's regatta around the island usually brings the superyachts and classics out to sea (date to be confirmed by the club).
Where to celebrate

The island's original beach party celebrates its 25th season with a New Year's Eve headlined, as announced, by DJ HUGEL. Book tables and daybeds as early as possible.

DJs all day and a New Year's Eve billed, as announced, with Peggy Gou: one of the most talked-about nights of the week.

Our pick for a New Year's dinner that turns into a party, on the quay facing the yachts and a few steps from the fireworks.
For a more refined dinner: Langosteria at Cheval Blanc (new this season), the Sand Bar at Eden Rock, Le Tamarin's garden or Bonito above the harbour; for a late night, Zuma (open from 25 November) and the BARRY rooftop and club. See our 10 best restaurants and new openings. DJ line-ups are as announced by the venues and press in autumn 2026 and can change.
Practical tips
What to wear on New Year's Eve in St Barts
The dress code is festive and glamorous, but tropical: think sequins, fringe, metallics and silk rather than heavy fabrics, and flat or block-heel sandals for the beach clubs and wooden decks. White and gold are the island's classic New Year colours; a light wrap or our Minuit-style leather piece for the yacht later on. For dinner in Gustavia, a long gown; for Nikki Beach or Gyp Sea, a short dress that moves.
